Yellowthroats
The common yellowthroat is a small songbird of the New Word. Ranging from Canada to central Mexico, the Yellowthroats are prolific breeders. One of our most widespread warblers of North America, the Common Yellowthroat is wren-like, and often ambles around marshes or low brush near water. When on the ground, it hops, and is frequently seen at or below eye level. Warblers are difficult birds to identify, because they exhibit an array of seasonal plumages and although their calls are distinctive they frequently vary their songs. “Yellowthroats” is a digital painting and photo composite.
