Mount Sinai Menorah
The next Hanukkah will be celebrated Monday, December 19 to Monday, December 26 in 2022. The menorah is first mentioned (25:31–40), according to which the design of the lamp was revealed to Moses by God on Mount Sinai. The flames of the Menorah express the daily miracle of light itself. Although Hanukkah is traditionally a time for joyful celebration, Jewish communities throughout the world are currently experiencing an upsurge in violent antisemitism. Rabbis, Jewish parents, and teachers try to instill in their congregants and students the notion that the holiday celebrates Jewish strengths, perseverance, and continuity. Happy Hanukkah!
