The coupler: Cling, clutch, connect, and release - it does it all. On a subjective level there are both negative and positive meanings represented by this massive object. As humans, it is our nature to unite with others and to connect on emotional, phsycal, and spiritual levels. Sometimes, however, some of us find ourselves from time to time trying to dominate and to rule over others - pulling them and pushing them to follow our desires and demands. Others prefer to hide away and to follow blindly at almost any cost. Domination and subservience are two forms of dependence that have tyrannized humankind since our creation. Freedom to bond or to connect with others in a give and take manner makes living joyful and rewarding.
