Black Palm Cockatoo at Dawn
Wild palm cockatoos ( aka Goliath Cockatoos) are now a threatened specie due to habitat loss. These large black or smokey gray parrots are members of the cockatoo family. The Palm Cockatoo inhabits the rainforests and woodlands of New Guinea island in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, and northern Queensland, Australia. This unusual bird is creative, intelligent, and uses tools to attract a mate. The Image is a composite of photographs hand painted in Photoshop.
