Words of support may be quite sincere by many who are now admitting that our nation has let down our children and the victims massacred at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. How have we failed them? Most of us have all known that the reckless use of inappropriate firearms in this country is the fault of our government representatives who accept money from the NRA. But, let us not forget that we have remained silent for too long, as well. I hope we will change and make this nation a safer place to live by enforcing gun laws and by providing health care access to the mentally ill. America has far more shootings and lethal acts of violence that any other nation in the world.
