Blue Claw Swimming
The blue crab is a species of crab native to the waters of the western Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, and has been introduced internationally. Due to climate change, its range has expanded north of Cape Cod in the Gulf of Maine. The culinary and economic importance in the United States is significant, particularly in Louisiana, North Carolina, the Chesapeake Bay, and New Jersey. In Maryland, the blue claw accounts for the state’s largest commercial fishery. Beyond its delectable gastronomic value, they are colorful crustaceans and wonderful swimmers. Blue Crab swimming is a digital painting created by Spadecaller.
