Fruit of the Rabbit
This is a digital composite and painting especially reminiscent of 18th Century paintings, when rabbits accompanied still life compositions and portraits of young women (Emile Munier 1840 - 1895). Rabbits and peaches are common motifs in visual arts; in different cultures they have numerous mythological and artistic meanings. In addition to their aesthetic qualities, the rabbit and the peach share in the symbolic associations of sensuality, fertility, and abundance; hence I created, Fruit of the Rabbit. - Matt Schwartz
