Plum Tree and Pigeon
For centuries, the plum blossom has been frequently depicted in Chinese art and poetry. The deciduous tree starts to flower in the frigid cold of mid-winter. As a “friend of winter,” the fragrant plum tree most vividly represents the value of endurance, despite harsh conditions. Souls are tempered through the trials of experience; they grow in inner strength and unyielding valor. The dove and the pigeon symbolize fidelity and loyalty. The plum tree and the pigeon together impart the faithful with courage and fortitude. This is a digital painting.
