The Phalaenopsis orchid, also known as the moth orchid, is native to Southeast Asia, India, southern China, Indochina, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and New Guinea. Phalaenopsis orchids were growing when dinosaurs walked the earth! According to the fossil record, theses orchids could be as old as 100 million years.
