The Train from Weimar
WWII. Germany had just surrendered. My father's buddy stood outside the train gazing at the rubble left from the war. My father passed away recently as so many have from that generation. Out of respect and honor for him, I restored this old photo to present. The name of his friend standing outside the train was Jason Schad. My father wrote on the back of the photo, "Jason Schad, the quietest character - even though he doesn't look the type."

Hi Matt...............beautiful image of a time we have forgotten, so sad. Let's hope we will wake up. Great tribute to your father and the description is wonderful as always...............Jayne

This is a very moving image, especially when taken with your narrative. Very nice Matt.
