Violet Sabrewing Hummingbird and Thistle
The Violet Sabrewing Hummingbird (Campylopterus hemileucurus) are native to southern Mexico, Costa Rica, and western Panama. The Violet Sabrewings are very large compared to other hummingbirds typically measuring 4.7 - 6 inches. This species prefers to inhabit the understory and edges of mountain forests, especially near streams. “Violet Sabrewing Hummingbird and Thistle,” is a digital painting and photo composite created by Spadecaller.
