My favorite tree and vine is the wisteria. I remember first sniffing the powerfully fragrant flowers of this amazing tree over fifty years ago; it was springtime. It grew in my neighbor's back yard. Miss Cogan was an old retired school teacher who lived next door. As I gazed over her rock pond at this beautiful vine, she identified it for me, "It's a Wisteria."
