Fuchsia magellanica, commonly known as the hummingbird fuchsia is a species of flowering plant in the Evening Primrose family, native to the lower Southern Cone of southern South America. The hummingbirds shown here are fiery throated hummingbirds commonly found in in the mountains of Costa Rica and western Panama. This is a digital painting created from a composite of photographs.
