Tropical Sage (Salvia coccinea) Coral Nymph is an herbaceous perennial in the Lamiaceae family that is widespread throughout the Southeastern United States, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Colombia, Peru, and Brazil. Its place of origin is Mexico. It may be the most commonly planted Florida wildflower in the Sunshine State. It is exceptionally adaptable, long-blooming, and a great attraction for hummingbirds and butterflies. A perennial in mild climates, this plant belongs in all gardens regardless of zone. It loves regular watering and rich soil like so many bedding flowers. Plant it in full sun or partial shade.
