Spring flowers blooming in a pond on the west coast of Florida. The specimens (sagittaria lancifolia) presented in the image are known as American Arrowhead and belong to a variety that has narrow leaves as opposed to the more common broad leaf, which derives its name from the shape of its tapered broad leaves that resemble arrowheads. These narrow leaf variations present robust white blooms and usually grow directly in the water.
