Cardinal Angel in the Snow
The belief that cardinals are spiritual messengers exists in many cultures. The word cardinal is derived from the Latin word cardo, meaning hinge or axis. Like a door’s hinge, the cardinal is the hinge on the doorway between earth and spirit. They carry messages back and forth. The red bird may appear as a representative of a loved one who has passed away. They often come when you miss that person the most. They also appear during times of celebration. The striking red feathers of a chirping male cardinal is certainly hard to ignore. They come insisting that you pay attention. “Cardinal Angel of the Snow,” is a digital painting and composite by Spadecaller.
