He ripped out a full page from the magazine on the coffee table, which had a picture of the world map and tore it into small pieces. As he finished tearing the pieces of paper, he challenged his son to put the picture together again. “Then I will read you a story,” the father promised. Feeling confident that he had bought himself ample time to rest and sober up, he placed the pile of torn papers on the kitchen table. Only minutes passed and his son called from the kitchen; “I did it Dad.” To his astonishment, dad found the world picture completely assembled. “How did you know where all these countries belong on the map and how could you do it so quickly?” He asked the boy. His son smiled and answered; “ there was a photo of a man on the other side of the page, so I put the man back together and found I’d put the world back together too.’”
